III Lions Balloon Festival
September 11-13, 2026, Belogradchik Rocks
flying for Bulgarian children
Lions friends from all over Europe and the World are uniting to fly in balloons over an amaizing nature phenomenon for the sake of Bulgarian children! Belogradchik Rocks – a place, where every stone is magic, and every rock come to life, illuminated by sun rays and charged with divine energy!
JOIN 3 days of adventures, sharing emotions and creating lifelong contacts, reserved exclusively for the Lions community and their friends!
All net incomes collected from the festival will be used by the event organizer – Lions Club – Vidin for the benefit of the children from Northwestern Bulgaria. The organization of all adventure activities, including balloon flights, is provided by Adventure Center – Belogradchik for free.
The festival will be held entirely outdoors in a field among the rocks just 5 min walking distance from the square of Belogradchik.
If you want to fly a balloon, you can choose between 3 options:
- tethered flight 10min, where the balloon is tied with ropes to the rocks and goes up to 77m above the ground. Price – 30 euro/person /20 euro for children up to 12 years/;
- free flight 60 min – takes off between the rocks and flies over them – the real adventure. Price 180 euro/person /120 euro for children up to 12 years/;
- free flight 30 min – takes off from the landing site of the 60-minute flight and flies on, where the rocks are usually visible from distance. Price 120 euro/person /90euro for children up to 12 years/;
Prices of adventures:
- adventure picnic among the rocks – 25euro/person;
- adventure wine tasting of boutique local wineries – 25euro/person;
- jeep safari – about 1 hour. Price 25euro/person /20euro for children up to 12 years/;
- adventure game – about 1 hour. Price 25euro/person /20euro for children up to 12 years/;
- excursion to the caves – only the entrance fee of the respective tourist site is charged

- 11:00-14:00 trip to Magura cave, famous for its prehistoric drawings or
- 11:00-14:00 adventure picnic among the Belogradchik rocks
- 15:00-17:00 Lions adventures – jeep safari/adventure game
- 17:00-17:30 registration and evening flights
- 19:00-21:00 tethered flight
- 19:00 GALA DINNER of LIONS CLUB – VIDIN
13.09.2026 – Sunday
- 7:00 – registration for the morning flights on the the field between the rocks
- 7:30-10:00 morning flights and tethering
- 10:00-12:00 Lions Adventures – jeep safari/adventure game/wine tasting
- 12:00-14:00 adventure picnic among the Belogradchik rocks at a new location or
- 12:00-14:00 trip to the Venetsa cave, famous for its exceptional beauty
- 14:00 departure
Accommodation: on your own choice /we assist if necessary/. Please, note that the accommodation capacity is limited and it’s strongly recommended to book in advance!
Choice of adventures: Choose the adventures you want to join by filling out the following registration form for each participant separately.
All net incomes from the Lions Balloon Festival will be used by the Lions Club – Vidin to support the children from Northwestern Bulgaria.
